DOMINANT LIFEFORMS : Skrulls are an extraterrestrial semi-humanoid race who have created the oldest known empire still in existence. Skrulls are basically reptilian in nature but have certain mammalian characteristics such as hair and mammary glands. Newborn are hatched from eggs but are nursed by their mothers. Skrulls have lifespans of about 210 Earth years. Skrulls have approximately the same strength as humans. Skrulls have natural heights and weights as humans but a considerable percentage of Skrulls are much shorter than humans. They range from 6'4" to 4' 6" in height. Skrulls can live on Earth with no difficulty. While still in their early stages of evolutionary development, the Celestials landed on Skrullos and created Normal, Eternal and Deviant strains of Skrull. The Deviant Skrulls proved able to change their shape and soon dominated the planet, eradicating the other races. An offshoot Deviant race of Skrulls became what are now known as "Dire Wraiths" and escaped to the Dark Nebula. All "true" Skrulls have the ability to alter their size, shape and color through mental concentration. Only the appearance of an object or person is mimicked, they do not gain any special abilities when shapechanged. They can grow to about 1.5 times their volume or shrink to .75 of their normal volume.


EMPIRE INFO : The early Skrulls used their shapechange ability to foster seeming common bonds with the natives of other worlds. The early Skrull empire was based on free trade. About a million years ago, the Skrull encountered the Kree and the Cotati, both races inhabiting the same planet. The Skrull Emperor set up a competition between the two races to determine which native race to deal with. The Skrulls decided to favor the plant-like Cotati. This enraged the Kree who slew the Skrull Emperor, his party and most of the Cotati and the confiscated the Skrull Starship. Within decades, the Kree had learned enough to launch an attack on the Skrull homeworld. The Skrulls were forced to become more militaristic to survive. Thus began the long series of Kree/Skrull wars that have lasted until recent times when the Kree Empire was decimated.



GOVERNMENT : The Skrull Empire was formerly ruled by an Emperor or Empress with individual governors governing separate planets or sectors of space. When the last Emperor was killed, many of the governors proclaimed themselves Emperor and starting warring on their neighbors.

HOMEWORLD: The Skrull race originated on the planet Skrullos in the Drox system in the Triangulum galaxy, hundreds of millions of years ago. The seat of the Skrull Empire was moved about 100,000 years ago to Tarnax IV, a planet more centrally located in the galaxy. Galactus destroyed this world in recent times and the Skrull Empire has degenerated into many kingdoms constantly being fought over by would-be Emperors.

TECHNLOGY: The Skrull are highly advanced in technology and possess Interstellar Travel Capability. Their ships resemble the "flying saucers" of Earth legends.

SUPER SKRULL is a mighty Skrull warrior who was endowed with the powers of the Fantastic Four in order to defeat them. He retains his shapeshifting powers and also has hypnotic powers.
LYJA LASERFIST is a female Skrull sent against the Fantastic Four. She took the place of Alicia (The Thing's Girl- friend) and tried to sow dissension in the group by marrying the Human Torch. When her plot was uncovered, she swore that she really did love him. Rejected by him, she gained the Laserfist powers and joined Paibok to battle the Fantastic Four.
PAIBOK is a Skrull Soldier endowed with the powers of the Original X-Men; Cyclops, Angel, Beast and Ice-Man. He has masterminded several plots against the Fantastic Four in recent years.
ULTRA SKRULL is a renowned Skrull warrior who was endowed with the powers of the X-Men; Colossus, Marvel Girl, Nightcrawler and Storm.
