Legion of Super Heroes



Legion of Super-Heroes : Started in the 30th Century, The Legion of Super- Heroes are an organization of super-powered teens of the future. The legion was created by billionaire R.J. Brande who saw three super-powered teens in action and decided to meld them into a force for good. Thus were created Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Cosmic Boy. Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy were of Human ancestry but from alien worlds where the inhabitants had developed strange powers in order to survive. Lightning Lad's powers were the result of an encounter with alien beasts on an alien planet. Each possessed the heart of a hero and Brande wielded them into legendary heroes after his fondness for the heroes he admired from the 20th Century. His goal was to provide the fledgling United Federation of Planets with an independant peace keeping force. As their fame grew, so did the legion.
Triplicate Girl, Phantom Girl, Mon-el, Colossal Boy, Star Boy, Ultra Boy and Brainiac 5 were amoung those first to join the Legion. The heroes to join the Legion of Super Heroes are great in number but their charter limited the number on active duty to twenty-five.
Their time spanning adventures led them to meet possibly the greatest hero of the 20th Century; Superman and his younger self; Superboy. Superboy later joined the Legion with his Time Traveling powers and participated in some of the Legion's greatest Adventures!
