Legion of Super-Villains : The Legion of Super Villains was originally the brainchild of Tarik the Mute, a thief whose larynx was destroyed after a shoot-out with Science Police. Tarik opened a training school for Super-Villains based upon the Legion's Academy. He gathered a group of Super-Villains who agreed with his goals. Tarik kidnapped Colossal Boy's parents in order to blackmail the hero into giving him the Legion's training secrets. The Legion managed to uncover the plot, however, and rescue Colossal Boy's parents.
The Legion of Super Villains regrouped with Lightning Lord, Solar Emperor and Nemesis Kid. Their new goal was to eliminate the Legion. The membership changes as members are captured and defeated and new villains join. Some rejected applicants have joined in order to gain revenge. Recently, the LSV waged an brutal, all out war with The Legion, a war that resulted in Nemesis Kid killing the original Karate Kid. His wife; Princess Projectra in turn slew the villain. While most members of the LSV are in custory, several remain free and ciontinue to plot against The Legion.
