The Heroes : Nemesis, Starshine and introducing Singularity!
The Villains : Morgan Le Fay, Strife, Wyvern, Thermite & Decibel
The NPCs : Mental Patient

      Starshine was at the Defense League base one Sunday morning when a report came in that a young lady in the state mental institution started showing some minor psionic powers. She flagged the report and set the computer to send her any other reports about this person. On Wednesday another report was received that the patient's powers have grown and she tests negative for mutant genes. The institute is concerned that if she continues to progress they will not be equipped to handle her. Starshine starts looking for more information on this individual and discovers that she was institutionalized for being a paranoid schizophrenic with homicidal tendencies and that she has already murdered once.
      On Friday a third report was received that her powers have grown beyond their ability to contain her and that Vault was asked to remove her to a different location. The report also stated that her physician; Dr. Morton Faylon would be accompanying her to the new facility. Vault being short manned and low in resources, it could not spare the manpower or the equipment to move her and so contacted Nemesis of the Star Guard to help. Arrangements were made for her to be moved on Saturday at noon.
      Nemesis agrees to transport her to Vault and shows up about 2 hours early to watch the facility. Meanwhile the newly created super being calling himself Singularity is flying over south Phoenix when he hears over the police frequency that some mutant psycho is being moved to a more secure facility. The police have to block off the area to prevent any mishaps. Singularity not liking what he heard flies over to the mental institution to protect this mutant.

      Nemesis has shape shifted into a bird and is perched in a tree when he sees a costumed individual fly in and land on the side lawn. Nemesis takes on the guise of a doctor and moves in to intercept. He confronts Singularity and orders him to leave the State grounds immediately. Singularity not really sure of what to do flies to just outside the gate and stands there.
      Starshine received the report that Nemesis was moving the patient at noon and starts to head over to the institution to offer her assistance. As she is flying there she receives a stage two alert that Juggernaut is rampaging through the deck park tunnel. She changes course to intercept him. She knows that she alone is no match for Juggernaut and she issues a stage two alert to the rest of the Defense League. Unfortunately she receives no responses. She then puts the alert out on the local super hero channel. Nemesis receives the alert but he can't leave his assignment to assist. When Starshine reached the deck park tunnel she sees Juggernaut but notices that something is wrong. She takes a closer look and discovers that it is an illusion. She immediately relays this information to the police.
      At that moment, four costumed individuals appear on the side lawn of the institute. Nemesis immediately recognizes them as the Legion of Chaos. He puts out a call to all super beings in the area for assistance. He once again assumes the guise of a doctor and moves to stop them. Starshine responds to the call and starts moving to the area.       Decibel turns invisible and moves away from the group shouting "You wait here and I will get her!". Singularity flies above the group and challenges the costumed individuals by asking, "What right do you have to lock up this woman?" Strife flies up to intercept him saying "We are here to free her!". She then gives him a kiss on the cheek before he can react. Singularity feels flush and his heart starts to race, his temperature rises and his eyes glass over. He also feels a sharp pain in his cheek. She then asks "Do you want to help". Singularity quickly answers "Yes!".

      Disguised as a Doctor, Nemesis moves in front of Thermite and asks him "Are you off your meds?" hoping to intimidate thermite into calming down. Thermite tells him to leave or get hurt. Nemesis, using his mental powers, notices that the new costumed individual is under a mind control from Strife. Nemesis tries once more to use a doctor's intimidating presence to control Thermite. Thermite entangles him in a block of ice. Nemesis easily breaks the entangle and punches Thermite. He feels a rush of cold and heat at the same time as he is knocked back from the aura surrounding Thermite's body.
      Starshine is still seconds away. Singularity moves to and through the door. He then sees one of the costumed people in the hall. He then rushes down the hall announcing that he is there to help. Decibel figures out what Strife is up to her old tricks. Strife and Thermite then double-team Nemesis. Nemesis, knowing that the field surrounding Thermite is damaging, takes a swing at Strife. As his hand touches her body he feels a sharp pain that feels almost like his hand was being turned inside out. The pain was maddening. Wyvern moves to guard the door. Thermite blasts Nemesis with a heat blast. Nemesis is damaged but not much. He tries to find something to strike them with but the grounds are unusually barren. Through the combined efforts of Thermite and Strife, Nemesis quickly falls. Starshine arrives just in time to see Nemesis's body knocked into the street.

      Strife moves in to confront Starshine. Starshine tries to blind her but to no avail. Strife reaches Starshine and strikes her. Starshine goes flying back and it feels like the gas that is her body is being expanded and contracted at the same time. Starshine recovers but the villainess is in her face. The battle ensues and eventually Starshine falls. Meanwhile Thermite continues to beat the downed Nemesis. Decibel and Singularity exit the building with the woman in hand.
      Strife tells Singularity "We have to leave but we will meet up soon!, Cover my back, will ya?". Singularity is happy to help the lovely lady leave. He takes up guard over the downed heroes. When the heroes regain consciousness Nemesis tells Starshine that Singularity is still under Strife's mind control and tells her to help him snap out of it. Starshine tried to talk him down forgetting that her cosmic powers could help strengthen is mind to fight off the control.
      Nemesis takes to the air and attempts to find if he can see them. He does see mental trails that lead to the four winds. He follows one of them and it leads to Thermite. Singularity eventually breaks free from the mind control. Nemesis announces that he has found one of them and that they should go after him. The three hero's catch up with thermite and quickly over power him.
      Nemesis takes the downed villain to Vault and explains to the authorities what happened at the mental institution. He then invites Starshine and Singularity to the Star Guards base to practice and strengthen their mental defenses. He also extends the invite to other hero's that may be in the area.
      Nemesis, Starshine and Singularity go to the base and after a full day of practice they manage to strengthen their mental defense to a certain degree.
