THE MONSTERS - Top priority continues to be given to the hunt for and
apprehension of a group of mutagenically enhanced beings that were recently
responsible for freeing a number of super-criminals at The Vault. Already in
custody at The Vault, Ogress managed to effect the escape of her companions
listed below by displaying an hitherto unknown teleport power. She and Batwing
then overpowered several Guardsmen and freed 11 extremely dangerous super-
criminals which were being processed. The group has been code named; The Monsters.
Occasional sightings of Ogress and her group have been made
since September 15, 2002. At first, these sightings were located in the North
west United States but quickly moved nation and then world-wide. Robberies
involving the theft of foodstuffs and chocolates were common at first but in
recent weeks, the thefts have involved tools, hydroponic equipment, building
supplies and medical supplies. A large number of these robberies have occurred
in Germany.
ANTI-MUTANT TERRORISM - There has been a recent rash of incidents
at pro-mutant rallies involving the photographing and snipeing at mutants
attending those rallies. To date, there have been eight deaths at these
gatherings and six seem linked. In the six cases, a ceremic projectile was
used. The projectile has some very interesting properties and seem designed
not only to avoid detection but to bypass many super-normal defenses. The
ceremic projectile is reputedly produced by The Weapons Master (see below).
THE WEAPONS MASTER - The search for information leading to the
arrest of The Weapons Master has been unsuccessful. This criminal mastermind
continues to provide upgraded weaponry to power enhanced individuals and,
even though it is reported that he is unwilling to deal directly with Terrorists,
his equipment has found its way into their hands through several back-channels.
The list of super-criminals dealing with The Weapons Master continues to grow:
STAR GUARD - The Star Guard recently announced that their base,
located somewhere in outer-space, had been rebuilt and was again fully
operational. Loosely organized to deal mainly with extra-terrestrial menaces,
this group has also contributed substantially in several national incidents.
The make-up of the group has changed over the months. The current line-up is:
