MONSTER SQUAD: The following power enhanced beings effected an escape
from The Vault on September 15, 2002 in the midst of a coordinated attack by
three teams of super-villains. Video Tape records indicate that the subject
known as Ogress displayed hitherto unknown powers of teleportation and some form
of clairsentience to free her companions.
VAULT ESCAPE: After the Assault on Vault, The Avengers, Fantastic Four and
The Star Guard turned over a number of power enhanced criminals. As these criminals
were being processed, Ogress and Batwing appeared in the processing area and freed
many of the captured villains. Batwing used an ultra-sonic scream to stun the
guards present while Ogress teleported them away, four at a time. Ogress was
heard to say that she was "rescuing" them. Reed Richards is assisting The Vault
in developing a defense against Ogress' power. The following power enhanced
criminals were freed.
SENTINELS: The recent conflict between two Mark 2000 Sentinels and the power
enhanced beings known as Maelstrom and Dark Blade was called an unfortunate
misunderstanding by NSA Spokesman Jarod Finch. The Sentinels were dispatched
to apprehend a lesser known power enhanced criminal known as "The Rubber Band
Man", a known mutant activist. Mr. Finch blames the suspect for "resisting"
the Sentinels and bringing his injuries upon himself. Robert Roy (AKA The Rubber
Band Man) had no comment and is reported in guarded condition. Spokesman Finch
reports that no charges will be brought against Maelstrom and Dark Blade since
it might be possible that the Sentinel's actions were somehow misunderstood.
HYDRA: A small band of enhanced power beings based in the United
States Southwest banded together recently when a HYDRA base was located. The
base was in southern Arizona, near the Mexican border. HYDRA operatives were
tracked to the base after stealing a highly unstable plutonium isotope. Using
various means to infiltrate the base, the group sabotaged its operations center
and recovered the isotope.
